ARE YOU
STILL
BREATHING? 

"Are you still breathing?

Then you're not finished yet. That breath belongs to God Almighty and He can take it back whenever He wants to.

But hasn't yet.

​

So, there must still be work for you to do!"

I have spoken those words to over 150,000 inmates in prisons all over the United States.

And I meant them. 

Because they are true.

Ephesians 2:10 says, "We are God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which He prepared in advance for us to do."

Surely, if He has a purpose and a plan for men and women restricted by incarceration, those of us on the outside can leverage our freedom and chase our God-glorifying dreams. But be sure of this, we have an adversary and he will oppose you. He will accuse you. And he will try to discourage you from taking possession of of all God has for you. Like Israelites on the edge of the Promised Land, the voices you're listening to will determine the choices you make and those choices will determine your destiny.

Maybe you think you're too young, too old, too uneducated, too poor (fill in your favorite adjective), you need to know God is a champion of the underdog and with Him all things are possible to them that believe.  Maybe you've got everything this world says will bring fulfillment, yet you still feel empty and out of sync. You need to know discomfort can be God's way of drawing out the next version you!
